Lord I wrote a book and thought it's good

All of my friends liked its look

I'm really trying

but agent's aren't buying

My little book

My little book

So I ventured out and made a page

On the worldwide web, it was cool

I printed up copies

And filled up my shelves

My little book

My little book

But Covid hit and I couldn't sell

I couldn't go to schools no more

The libraries liked hardback

So I had to change

My little book

My little book

Oh the price of things was getting high

My budget cried in misery

No room on the shelves

No cash to buy

I went POD

But Lord even now that I am saved

Reality is like a trawler

For Ingram gets some

And Amazon more

I get a dollar

I thank you, Lord for giving me hope

If I try hard, I can recoup

I'll find a buyer

Then a million more

My little book

My little book
