Where are my books?

The Library of Congress collects book information and physical books. But the Cataloging in Publication doesn't allow self-published works.

The following publishers, self-publishers, and authors are ineligible for the CIP Program. However, you may be eligible for the sister program; the Preassigned Control Number (PCN) Program.

When I learned of the Preassigned Control Number (PCN) program, I figured out how to use it. Five of my books now have LCCN numbers and with each number assignment, I had to mail a physical copy of my book to the Library of Congress in DC.

But when I search for my title in their "Browse" catalog, I don't see my books anywhere. This is all I get with a search for the name, McGiboney

If my books aren't on a shelf somewhere to be found by a catalog search, where are they? I hope some child in DC is enjoying them.

Interesting! I have LCCN #s for my three-book series, but so far I haven't mailed in the physical copies. I guess I should keep it that way. Thanks for the info!
