Ghost Stories - What's Your Favorite?

I love a good ghost story, but I only like non horror, non bloody, kinds of stories. Most of the ghost stories I love were movies before I knew they existed as books. Here are my favorites.

Casper – I love this for two reasons.  I grew up in a world where I was the outcast.  I can empathize with his loneliness.  Plus, he’s so kind.  

The Ghost and Mrs. Muir -  Another sitcom that I grew up with.  Lucy and Captain Gregg always had fun interactions.  Who wouldn’t want a ghost looking after them. He kept her from being lonely.  

The Canterville Ghost – This one fills the dream of living in a castle like mansion. I loved the way the kids attitudes are turned around.  They hate it when they arrive but circumstances and a ghost change their minds.  

Just Like Heaven – I love this movie because it’s a little different.  Elizabeth isn’t quite dead yet, and her “soul” is still in the apartment. When Elizabeth discovers that she’s in a coma and learns that her sister plans to remove life support, it’s up to David, the cute guy that rented her apartment, to save her. It’s funny and cleverly written.

Do you see a theme here?  I love ghosts, as long as they are good, romantic, kind, or can be redeemed in some way. Do you have any more suggestions for stories I can read that have ghosts like this?
