I’d been teased because I was ugly.

I’d been mistreated because it made them laugh.

I’d been alone because nobody wanted to be my friend.

I’d been overlooked because I shrunk to nothing.

I’d been ignored because I was invisible.

I’d been ostracized because I was different.

I’d been the object of practical jokes because I was an easy target.

I’d been denied entry into groups based on my looks.
