Sonja McGiboney is the author of 23 concept based picture books with titles such as, Growing Up Jazzy, ABC Jazzy, Jazzy Explores the Library, and more.

From 2021 to 2023 she presided over the Chesapeake Bay Writers club in Virginia and upon moving to Gadsden, founded the Gadsden Alabama Writers. She is involved in the 12 X 12 Challenge, and joined the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators, (SCBWI), both of which are global writing communities led by award winning authors.
